Cooking

Cooking is one of the Life Skills that, with the appropriate Blueprints, lets you create consumable items to boost character stats during battles with monsters or other players.

How to Learn Cooking

The Crystal Cauldron is granted in the storyline by Matchstick Granny. When the desired EXP is reached, both the cauldron and the Cooking skill can be increased by 1 level using a Repair Tool. Maximum level — 3.
The Crystal Cauldron is granted in the storyline by Matchstick Granny. When the desired EXP is reached, both the cauldron and the Cooking skill can be increased by 1 level using a Repair Tool. Maximum level — 3.

To learn Cooking, complete the storyline with the NPC Matchstick Granny, where you will prepare your first dishes. Your character will learn the Cooking skill and receive a non-tradable cooking tool — the Crystal Cauldron.

How to Level Up Cooking

The maximum level of the Cooking skill and of the Crystal Cauldron is 3. The cauldron gains experience as you use the Cooking skill. Each recipe shows how much EXP the cauldron will gain after preparing items from that recipe. After reaching maximum EXP, the cauldron can still be used and does not need repairs. A Repair Tool is required only to increase the Crystal Cauldron level and the Cooking skill level. Repair Tools are created via Manufacturing.

Level UpgradeRequired EXPRequired Tool
From Lv1 to Lv22500Repair Tool Lv1
From Lv2 to Lv36500Repair Tool Lv2

After accumulating the required EXP to advance, place a Repair Tool in your inventory and double-click the cauldron. Using the Repair Tool raises both the Crystal Cauldron level and your character’s Cooking skill level simultaneously.

  • With Premium Status active, the cauldron gains +15% more EXP from each recipe.

Additional Attribute from Leveling

For each skill level, your character gains +1 Spirit.

How to Cook

Cooking Level and Cauldron Level must match the recipe level
Cooking Level and Cauldron Level must match the recipe level
To cook, you need a Cooking Recipe. The Cooking level (and the Crystal Cauldron level) must be equal to or higher than the recipe level. For example, with a Lv3 Cauldron you can prepare Lv1–3 recipes, but not Lv4. Gather the three ingredients listed in the recipe and the required amount of Fairy Coins, then go to a place with a campfire — for example, in the Mines (1134,785) — or any village, place everything correctly, and press “Start.” All recipes have a 100% success rate, and each recipe has a single use.

Use in Ascending Order

Most items that grant the same long-lasting effects can only be used one after another in ascending level order. After using a higher-level item, it will be impossible to use similar lower-level items. For example, Cooking items that increase HP and Physical Resistance can be used in the following order:

  • Lv. 1 Steamed Cod Vessel
  • Lv. 2 Sturgeon with Bamboo
  • Lv. 3 Tasty Pufferfish
